Vinita Nair
In July of 2004 she joined the station as a reporter and reported on a wide range of stories. These included an investigation into the killing of Jon Benet Ramsey and the shootings in Bailey, Colorado. Nair began working for ABC News as an anchor/correspondent for ABC News Now in December 2007. In that role she was responsible for anchoring live coverage and news briefs for ABC's network on the internet. Nair was co-anchor on World News Now and America This Morning on ABC, from September 17th, 2008 from September 17, 2008, until February 18, 2011. In both programs, Nair worked initially in partnership by Jeremy Hubbard. Later she was paired with Rob Nelson. Nair disclosed on Thursday 17 February 2011 that her last night hosting on World News Now would be the evening of Friday, 18th February. This would also be her last day working for ABC News. Former KDVR Denver anchor Peggy Bunker was her direct successor. In each of the three segments of the World News Now's broadcast on February 18, Nair was honored by former and current colleagues such as Jeremy Hubbard. The crew was treated to an excellent breakfast during her last day.
