Lars entered the military after his school years. He served nine months of military basic service in the Kongelige Livgarde, an infantry regiment in the Danish army. After the completion of his military service Lars realized that it wasn't what he wanted and began seeking out something else. He decided to study biology. Anette who had been working for the military for over a year, returned from a class for jugglers to show him how well she could juggle after just three days. Lars was very pleased with this and wanted to test it. The result was that he dropped out of college and attended the juggler's school. In the school he studied the art of juggling and fire breathing, among other things. He then travelled with two of his friends throughout Europe as a tour artist performing in cities such as Paris, Munich and Moscow. He came across a circus for children in the next year and began to learn street and children's theatre as and pantomime.
